Multi-screen 1 Year, 7 Months ago

The church I attend is about to undergo major renovations. My pastor has been dreaming big and was wondering about having three big linked screens on the back wall instead of the standard one.
What software or hardware is needed for this? We use EasyWorship at the momnet - will that cope?

You may be wanting to use something like 'pro video player' or 'pro presenter' They are apple mac software and designed for multi screen.
Or, you could use a Matrox Triple Head2go - which is a hardware device that connects to your computer monitor port and then to 3 projectors - that then shows up in Windows as an ultrawide screen - which is then split across the 3 projectors.
You'd also want to look in to 'edge blending' - as that is a way for the images to overlap in a way that is seamless.
It's a big topic I think - and there isn't an easy answer - but one thing I do know, is that this is the kind of thing done by churches with big budgets! :-)

Thanks for the information Andrew. That last sentance will interest our finance guy as, knowing my pastor, he would not have mentioned his idea to him!

my church runs at about 60 people and have ZERO tech budget. We run ProPresenter and have a TripleHead2Go. That whole package costs about $800. (Software license, hardware and additional software 'modules')
We aren't quite ready for multiple screens yet, But all we need is projectors and we're good to go!
If you are using ProPresenter, and want to "edge-blend" (stretching one image across multiple projectors) you will also need the Edge-Blending Module (another $600)
BTW I've used MediaShout at 2 different churches thus far. Both have changed to ProPresenter (one running Mac, the other on PC). Both churches are loving ProPresenter. It's great!
